January 15, 1998 Speaker: Mr. Steve DiMeo Executive Vice President of the Economic Development Growth Enterprises Corporation (EDGE)

The Guest Speaker, Mr. Steve DiMeo talked about the economic growth in Oneida and Herkimer counties.	The Erie Canal Chapter President, Ms. Mary Carol Chruscicki, thanked Mr. DiMeo for taking the time to speak to AFCEA Erie Canal Chapter.
Mr. John Graniero, Technical Director of the AFRL Information Directorate, was presented with a 5 year AFCEA Membership Pin.	Mr. Terence Prossner of BBN was presented with a 10 year AFCEA Membership Pin.
Mr. Michael Graniero, a local representative of Grainger, Inc came to the luncheon to hear first hand about the economic development in Central New York. Other Grainger representatives at the luncheon were Mr. Phillip Roberts and Ms. Louise Flanders. Grainger, Inc. is a provider of industrial and commercial equipment & supplies.	Ms Carla Burns, a Software Engineer from the AFRL Information Directorate and Mr. Donald Troupe, Assistant Professor/Chairman of the Civil Technology Dept. at SUNY Institute of Technology were each AFCEA Scholarship Raffle winners.
