The Erie Canal Chapter Scholarships are given to assist deserving students in furthering their educational objectives. The study program must lead to a degree in electronics, communications or electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, environmental science, or information technology.

 
 


In 2002, the Erie Canal Chapter will award up to 10 scholarships:

Awards are based upon the relationship of the applicant's area of study to AFCEA goals, demonstrated academic performance, potential, honors, community service, work history, and extracurricular activities. All awards are made on the basis of merit. The scholarships will be paid directly to the winners. A one-year AFCEA membership and free subscription to Signal Magazine will be included.

Applications, including letters of recommendation, must be typed or computer generated, and received by the AFCEA Secretary by close of business 31 March 2002, to be considered. Scholarships will be announced and awards made at the AFCEA Scholarship Luncheon in May 02.
